Privacy policy

This policy applies to the Solo Run mobile app, solorun.app, support and related services. MORI URBAN LIFESTYLE LLP is responsible for the personal information described here. In privacy laws that use the term, we act as the data controller or data fiduciary.

• Account information: email address, sign-in method, account identifiers and settings.
• Run and health information: runs you record with GPS, add manually or import through Activity Sync. Depending on the source and permissions, these may include start time, duration, distance, route, pace, elevation, energy, heart-rate readings and other measurements supplied by Apple Health or Health Connect.
• Run content: notes, voice recordings, photographs, video, captions, feelings, effort and edits you add.
• Device and service data: device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, timestamps, crash data and diagnostic events needed to run and protect the service.
• Communications: support messages, attachments and the contact details you use when writing to us.

Most information comes directly from you. Run details come from entries you add and, for GPS runs you start, your device’s location services after you grant permission. Activity Sync imports completed workouts from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android only after you grant the requested system permission. We also receive routine technical data from the app, browser, operating system and service providers that help us operate Solo Run.

You can refuse an optional permission, but the related feature may not work. Revoking the Apple Health or Health Connect permissions used by Activity Sync stops future access; it does not automatically erase information already imported into Solo Run.

• Provide your account and private running record.
• Record runs you start and import completed workouts through Activity Sync when connected.
• Store, organise, display, export and delete your content.
• Authenticate users, prevent abuse, investigate faults and protect accounts.
• Answer support requests and meet legal duties.

Where European or UK data protection law applies, we rely on the contract needed to provide Solo Run, your consent for health data and optional features, our legitimate interests in security and service reliability, and legal obligations. Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies, we process personal data with consent or another ground permitted by that law. You may withdraw consent at any time, although prior lawful processing remains valid.

Route and workout information can reveal sensitive details, such as where you live, when you usually run or aspects of your health. Solo Run requests only the health and location permissions needed for the features you choose. GPS recording continues during a run you start, including with the screen off when device permissions allow it. We do not use Apple Health or Health Connect data for advertising, credit, employment, insurance eligibility or data-broker services.

We do not sell health information. We do not disclose information obtained through Apple Health to an advertising platform, data broker or information reseller.

Transcription sends the audio from a voice note or video to a speech service to produce text and timestamps. This includes media you add from your gallery. The current speech service is ElevenLabs; Sarvam may be used as a fallback when configured. Live transcription sends audio while you record.

AI reflections use OpenAI to generate writing from your journal material, including notes, captions, transcripts and relevant running context. These services receive the material needed for the requested feature. Avoid adding information you do not want processed by these providers. AI-generated text can be inaccurate and is not medical advice.

Solo Run has no public feed. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose only what is needed in these circumstances:

• To hosting, storage, authentication, email, diagnostics, customer support and AI providers working under contract for us.
• To a person or service you direct us to share with, after you take an explicit sharing action.
• To courts, regulators, law enforcement or other parties when law requires it, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, accounts or the service.
• As part of a merger, financing, reorganisation or sale, subject to confidentiality and applicable notice requirements.

Our providers may process information in India and in other countries where they operate. Privacy laws differ between countries. Where the law requires a transfer safeguard, we use an approved contractual or legal mechanism and require the recipient to protect the information for the purposes described in this policy.

We keep account information and run content while your account is active. Retention may continue where needed to complete a request, keep security records, resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement or comply with law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Backup copies expire through our ordinary backup cycle and remain protected while retained.

You may delete individual content in the app or follow the account deletion guide. Deleting a Solo Run copy does not delete the source workout from Apple Health, Health Connect or another app.

You can change system health permissions, correct account details, request a copy of available data through support and delete content. Depending on where you live, you may also ask us to provide access, correct inaccurate information, erase information, restrict or object to processing, provide portable data, or withdraw consent. You may complain to the privacy regulator responsible for your location.

Email hello@moriurban.com to make a request. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. The law may allow or require us to deny part of a request; if so, we will explain the reason unless the law prevents us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, California residents may request access to categories or specific pieces of personal information, correction, deletion and information about disclosures. Solo Run does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use sensitive personal information only to provide requested features, secure the service and meet legal duties; we do not use it to infer unrelated characteristics.

An authorised agent may submit a request where California law allows it. We may ask for proof of authority and may separately verify the account holder.

Solo Run is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where local law sets a higher age for valid consent, a parent or guardian must provide any consent that law requires. Contact us if you believe a child supplied information without the required permission.

We use administrative, technical and physical measures suited to the nature of the information, including encrypted network connections, access restrictions and monitoring intended to detect misuse. No online service can promise absolute security. If a personal-data incident requires notice under applicable law, we will notify affected people and authorities as required.

We may update this policy when the product, providers or law changes. We will change the effective date and give any further notice required by law. A material change will not reduce rights already granted for previously collected information without a lawful basis.
